A recognized leader and change agent responsible for aligning Digital Experience priorities with HKS’s firmwide strategic goals. Identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes digital products that deliver measurable value to staff, clients, and communities. Collaborates with the Chief Data & Digital Officer (CDDO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), HUB and Innovation Sector leaders, and enterprise stakeholders to build and manage a product portfolio that transforms prototypes and ideas into production-grade, branded digital experiences. Serves as the strategic voice of the user within the Digital Experience team — bridging business needs, design excellence, and technical feasibility to position HKS as a leader in digital innovation within the AEC industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns the Digital Experience product roadmap, ensuring alignment with HKS’s strategic priorities and the CDDO’s data and digital strategy
  • Establishes and manages the product intake and evaluation process, applying clear criteria (user demand, strategic fit, technical feasibility, maintenance cost) to prioritize productization opportunities from _MADE, the CTO’s teams, Innovation, sectors, and Enterprise
  • Partners with practice leaders, sector directors, and enterprise stakeholders to deeply understand user workflows, pain points, and unmet needs
  • Defines product requirements, success metrics, and acceptance criteria for each product
  • Collaborates with the UI/UX Lead and Principal Software Engineer to deliver products meeting HKS standards for quality, reliability, and brand alignment
  • Manages the product lifecycle from discovery through delivery, adoption, and iteration
  • Communicates product vision, roadmap, and progress to executive leadership and the board
  • Exercises skills of persuasion and negotiation to align competing stakeholder priorities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Business, Computer Science, Design, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Relevant accreditations required
  • Typically 8+ years of product management experience required, with at least 3 years leading product strategy for internal or enterprise software
  • Proven experience in or strong familiarity with the AEC, professional services, or design industry preferred
  • Advanced experience with Agile/Lean Methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Advanced familiarity with web and mobile product development lifecycles
  • Intermediate familiarity in Adobe Suite preferred
  • Intermediate familiarity with data science, statistical, and data visualization software packages and technology stacks
  • Advanced graphic, visualization and representation skills to communicate design ideas
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Advanced organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Advanced ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Intermediate experience in logistics management including connecting people and resources to the right place at the right time
  • Intermediate successful track record with managing a team with diplomatic leadership style which puts value on relationships and collaboration, both internal and external
  • Intermediate ability to maintain existing client relationships, build new client relationships and engage a range of audiences, stakeholders, and partners
  • Intermediate ability with proven experience to work across stakeholder groups, functional areas, geographies, and differing levels of seniority with competing priorities
  • Intermediate ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions
  • Intermediate ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality

Base Salary Range: $90k - $130k annually - Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Washington DC locations only.

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
