AOL seeks an energetic, passionate, strategic, and entrepreneurial Principal Product Manager to lead the development, and management of our growing commerce business. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate the AOL experience and be a gateway to expansive content, products, community, and experiences allowing millions of users to immerse themselves in topics they love, and discover new depths with every click.

This role requires a seasoned product leader with a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and technology. The Principal Product Manager will collaborate closely with talented cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, researchers, and editors, to drive product innovation and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact solutions that align with the company’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Imagine new product capabilities and solutions and move your new ideas through the product lifecycle to build/development activities 

  • Effectively partner with stakeholders across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features and prioritization based on the business impact of each new initiative 

  • Translate the product roadmap and features into a well-defined requirements documentation inclusive of member feedback and acceptance test criteria 

  • Perform effectively in an agile environment and continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and flag opportunities/risks as they arise 

  • Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of the product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment areas

  • Define and hit quarterly and annual objectives and key results. 

  • Develop a deep, ambitious, and research supported product roadmap focused on solving user needs that delivers impactful business results.

  • Drive alignment across the product team (pms, design, engineering), cross-functional partners (editorial, marketing, operations, sales, legal, etc), and the executive team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of product development experience

  • Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset

  • Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles

  • Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of data and intelligence solutions, including a wide variety of mechanisms, e.g. dashboards, APIs, real time alerts, etc.

  • World class product vision, strategy, planning, development, and execution

  • Proven track record launching products on time and scaling to hit their goals

  • Demonstrated ability to fuse editorial sensibility with product strategy and business objectives

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to both lead cross-functional meetings and to communicate clearly with executive leadership

  • Love of digital interactive media and the entrepreneurial drive to innovate its future

  • Experience driving diversified revenue businesses across advertising, commerce, and subscriptions

  • Data driven thinking and decision methodology

  • Strong UX and design sense

The compensation for this position ranges from $136,125.00 - $283,750.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
