Job Description
- Responsible for timely, successful installation of TeraBeam 8XX systems at customer sites worldwide, including scheduling resources and managing the process from planning through monitoring after installation.
- Directly manage a team of Product Install Engineers, providing day-to-day direction, coaching, and performance guidance.
- Coordinate in-fab installation and upgrade planning, and support Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Support teams during early NPI deployment.
- Prepare and present regular installation status updates to KLA Service HQ Management, local Operations Management, and Customer Management.
- Develop the TeraBeam 8XX installation program through strategic planning, and partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Support to capture and apply lessons learned from each install.
- Ensure Installation Performance meets plan. Ensure issues are escalated to the appropriate function group. Collaborate with HQ and Tech Support on managing Technical Escalations.
- Frequently interacts with subordinates, outside customers and functional peer groups at management levels, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
- Strives to achieve the Strategic Objectives defined by the company: this includes, but is not limited to - Cost of Install, Cost of Pre-warranty, Install Cycle time. On-Time Install and, Quality.
- Manages cost through careful resource deployment, Install case management, and cross-charge management.
- Reviews Installation documentation including eQuality checklists, NC’s, Pass downs for accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting capital equipment installations in the semiconductor industry, with direct exposure to NPI programs or eBeam systems.
- Prior experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs or early-stage product ramps.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of work experience in supporting comparable capital equipment for the semiconductor industry.
- Proven project management and organizational skills gained from managing installations, upgrades, or field programs.
- Experience presenting technical status and project updates clearly to senior stakeholders
- Good interpersonal/communication skills in understanding customer needs.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods (up to 50%)
