Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As a Product Information Analyst, you are responsible for ensuring product data is accurate, complete, and operationally ready across the Merchandising Lifecyle. You enable scalable data management and decision making by maintaining high-quality product information and translating business inputs into structured, system-ready data. This role is a critical connector across Design, Product Development, Merchandising and Supply Chain, ensuring product data flows seamlessly from concept to launch. You are responsible for inputting the data and, as you evolve the role, leveraging the data to generate reporting and insights that inform the assortment and enable better business decisions.

This role is based out of our Portland office and is expected to be performed on location.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Process Operations organization sits at the heart of Arc’teryx’s end-to-end value chain, leading enterprise-wide alignment and advancing a culture of radical collaboration. The Product Data & Analytics team, a new function within Process Operations, is the central authority and gatekeeper for seasonal product data. We are responsible for transforming data management from a necessary task to an enterprise capability, resulting in a portfolio of data products that enable better decisions from concept to guest. We partner with Technology, Product Creation, Merchandising and Master Data to evolve our governance model, modernize tooling, and embed KPI-led performance management into our end-to-end value chain. You will be at the forefront of these efforts, helping to shape the vision, operating model and execution of our initiatives.

If you were in the Product Information Analyst role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Participate in key go-to-market milestones between Design, Product Development, and Merchandising.
  • Create, maintain, and validate Model and SKU-level data in Merchandising and PLM systems.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of product attributes across the full lifecycle – from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Execute and audit seasonal data loads and updates in alignment with key Design, Development, Merchandising, and Planning milestones.
  • Create and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and attribute definitions.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve data inconsistencies, gaps, and errors.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data integrity and reduce rework.
  • Collaborate with Product Line Managers, Regional Merchants, Product Developers and Business Planners to capture and maintain accurate product information.
  • Surface and resolve anomalies and edge cases related to attribution, hierarchy, and key measures.
  • Translate your category’s business processes, seasonal strategy, and product inputs into structured system data.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on product data and business processes by championing issues and opportunities between Product Creation, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Ensure market readiness by ensuring product data is complete and system ready.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely delivery of all data milestones.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Contribute to documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support implementation of data governance frameworks and tooling enhancements.

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Act as a data steward for your assigned category, owning the quality, structure, and usability of product data.
  • Brief in requirements for enhancing our analytics data platform to serve use cases for reporting, self-service tools, pre-configured dashboards, and modern query interfaces.
  • Research, identify, and translate offline product attribution to systems-ready definitions and partner with Technology teams to enable and scale these where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the redesign of Merchandising hierarchies, attributes, and taxonomies to improve data quality, searchability and analytics usefulness across ERP systems.
  • Use tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI (DAX) and Excel to develop and test analytics solutions in a sandbox environment.
  • Partner with Technology to push the most useful solutions to production and champion tool adoption amongst your user base through business-friendly documentation and ongoing training and education.
  • Develop and present Merchandising analytics education modules in partnership with your Process Operations functional leaders.

Are you our next Product Information Analyst?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in product data management, Merchandising Operations, or a related function.
  • Familiarity or direct experience with managing business operations in Direct-to-Consumer Retail, Wholesale or E-com.
  • General knowledge of Merchandising, Buying or Open to Buy processes.
  • Proven ability to synthesize and interpret data, spot trends, draw conclusions, develop recommendations, and influence action.
  • Comfort with ambiguous, fast-growth, entrepreneurial environments.
  • Strong intellectual curiously and a continues improvement mindset.
  • Proactive identification of inefficiencies and a demonstrated ability to design scalable, sustainable solutions.
