Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Contribute to the successful industrialization of new products while growing your expertise in multidisciplinary project and team management within a complex medical technology environment.

You are responsible for

Driving the Operations project management plan and representing the Integrated Supply Chain in the integral project team. As Product Industrialization Project Manager, you will lead the execution and release of new product introductions into the supply chain and manufacturing environment, ensuring a smooth design transfer with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing all industrialization deliverables to meet schedule, cost, and quality requirements.

  • Balancing interdependencies and business risks related to new product introduction activities.

  • Ensuring optimum process capability, alignment with quality standards, and the effective application of DfMAT principles.

  • Leading and collaborating with an Operations project team across engineering, procurement, quality, logistics, catalog management, supply chain, and manufacturing.

  • Representing Operations in the integral project team and acting as the single point of contact between Operations and the cross-functional project team.

  • Identifying and driving end-to-end supply chain value stream improvements during product development and transfer projects.

  • Driving product improvements related to variant reduction, cost, quality, and failure rate.

  • Assessing the impact of new products on the current supply chain architecture and manufacturing concepts, and defining the required solutions for implementation.

  • Implementing project-related engineering changes in the supply chain.

  • Partnering with stakeholders to define new product concepts with efficient landed costs.

  • Driving make-or-buy decisions and contributing to the supplier selection process.

  • Driving operational excellence to achieve predictable, first-time-right project execution.

  • Improving and deploying procedures related to Product Industrialization.

You are a part of

The Image Guided Therapy Systems business, which delivers medical systems and solutions based on X-ray technology.
Within this business, the Product Industrialization department is responsible for developing and releasing manufacturing processes for new products, considering people, quality, processes, tools, and production execution performance from order to installation. The goal is to establish efficient, high-quality, and scalable realization processes that enable outstanding business results.
You will report to the Engineering Program Manager and work closely with engineering, procurement, logistics, quality, supply chain, catalog development, and manufacturing teams.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical fields, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain.

  • Relevant experience in product industrialization, manufacturing, supply chain, or new product introduction preferably from regulated industries.

  • Strong conceptual thinking across the end-to-end supply chain.

  • Proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong drive to deliver results.

  • Understanding process FMEA, design reviews, process validation, production process design, and logistics or supply chain principles.

  • Strong communication, documentation, project management, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to lead a team of specialists through the product introduction cycle.

  • Experience with Lean and structured problem-solving techniques.

  • Commitment to inclusion and diversity.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field
