About the role
The Product Manager: Workday Extend & Integrations within the Enterprise Applications / HR, Legal & Compliance Systems team, which is part of the D&T CTO organisation, will work closely with HR business teams, Tech Product & Service teams, third party vendors and service providers to ensure proper technical design, implementation, and support for Tech solutions and first-class tech enablement, standardisation, continuous improvement, and compliance of end-to-end HR Tech integrations and HR tech solution landscape.
The Product Manager: Workday Extend & Integrations will be accountable for working across the product team to define, implement and optimize our Workday Extend apps and Integrations between our Core HR system (Workday) & any other HR/enterprise system (e.g., Payroll, Benefits Mgt, SAP ERP, SAP Fieldglass). They will possess strong HR system technical (Workday Extend & integrations), data management/integration and service experience to be able to provide technical guidance and advice to the Senior Product Manager (Cross Product Integration), Product Directors/Managers & Experts and Tech architects to ensure that HR integrations & technical solutions are fit for purpose, providing feasible solutions which will meet the requirements from our stakeholders (e.g. alignment to architecture design principles) and deliver value to our end users. They will have technical experience in their area specific to their domain, be accountable for technical artifacts (such as design specs, Tech continuity plans) and ensure full compliance with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements. They will also be responsible for working with Service Teams to manage change and release activities, including Software as a Service (SaaS) updates, in the production service and ensuring compliance. The incumbent will be expected to be a Workday Extend & integration expert, managing, and supporting a portfolio of Extend applications and integrations.
This pivotal role will be a part of our Business Enterprise Applications Technology team, reporting directly to the Senior Product Manager (Cross Product Integration).

Being currently or previously certified in Workday Extend & Integrations

Extensive experience in Workday Extend and advanced Workday Extend components, Advanced Data and Orchestration Services and Workday integration stack (Workday Studio, Workday connectors, EIB’s, Workday Data Migration, etc.)

Proven track record in successful product delivery, via Agile and waterfall delivery methods (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 or Scrum Inc. Product Owner)

Experience working with third parties in the delivery of working products.

Experience of working with teams across diverse countries and cultures effectively, within a large global FMCG or FMCH organisation.

Experience of managing change and release activities, including Software as a Service (SaaS) updates & solution integration delivered changes & high adoption of standard integrations, into the relevant environments in a compliant and efficient manner.

Experience of and exposure to Workday Extend & integrations between our Core HR system (Workday) and other systems (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, SAP ERP, SAP Fieldglass) within the end-to-end HR & cross functional solution architecture & design.

5+ years’ experience of working with enterprise solutions in these areas:
1. Workday Extend and advanced Workday Extend components, Advanced Data and Orchestration Services.
2. Programming languages such as JSON, XML, Java, Python or Javascript, etc.
3. Workday integration stack (Workday Studio, Workday connectors, EIB’s, Workday Data Migration, etc.) and integration security (Oauth 2.0, OpenPGP, x509)
4. Integrations to other enterprise/vendor solutions, such as SAP ERP, SAP Fieldglass, SAP Success Factors, Payroll vendors/services, Benefits Management vendors/services, etc.
5. Other Workday modules/areas (e.g., Workday Reporting/BIRT) is a plus.
6. Other tools/technologies such as Oxygen, Postman/SOAP UI or equivalents is a plus.
7. Product/software development tools: A-ha, Jira is a plus.

Build/configure completely new Workday Extend apps & integrations, as well as supporting and enhancing existing Extend apps & integrations, using Workday delivered integration templates, EIBs, Workday Studio, RaaS, etc.

Technical overview of all (or assigned) Workday Extend apps & integrations & solutions and helping to ensure all solutions/integrations supporting the business are compliant with internal security, data management, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements (e.g., SOX)

Ensure data passing from upstream / downstream systems through integration is efficient, accurate and secure.

Experience of gathering solution architecture & integration requirements and translate them into technical design specs, etc.

Experience of working on global deployments (Global / Localisation concept)

Experience of troubleshooting various system issues by being able to correctly identify the root cause and providing the technical fix, solution, or workaround.

Understanding of ITIL Frameworks and service management practices for a complex, global service
