Job Summary
Responsible for sustaining and optimizing existing products to ensure stable production, improved yield, quality, and cost efficiency. Leads root cause investigations for product issues and drives corrective actions across sites, including customer-related concerns. Monitors product performance through data analysis to identify trends and risks early. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution and alignment. Manages product changes as the Product Engineering owner, ensures timely communication with customers, and supports rapid releases when needed. Owns overall product health by driving continuous improvements and ensuring timely closure of issues within the assigned portfolio.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive sustaining support for existing products to keep production stable, improve yield and quality, and reduce cost where possible.
- Lead product issue investigation by identifying root cause and working with all sites to implement corrective actions, including customer-related issues.
- Monitor product performance by analyzing data (FT, probe, reliability, CZ) to identify trends, variations, and potential risks early.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Test, Quality, CQE, Marketing, Sales, PLM, Planning) to align on issues and ensure smooth execution.
- Provide timely and clear responses to customer inquiries and technical requests to ensure effective support and communication.
- Support product changes as Product Engineering owner (SLO), ensuring proper coordination, documentation, and timely release.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance yield, optimize testing, and reduce costs.
- Take ownership of assigned product portfolio by monitoring product health, ensuring issues are followed up and closed on time.
- Support rapid release and urgent business needs by responding quickly and managing fast-track activities when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent, providing a strong technical foundation in semiconductor devices, circuits, and engineering principles.
- Minimum 3–5 years working experience in semiconductor Product Engineering, Test Engineering, or related field, with hands-on involvement in product support, issue resolution, and manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing process flow, including fab, assembly, and test operations, to support effective problem analysis and product performance improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to perform data analysis and apply structured root cause methodology to resolve complex technical issues and drive corrective actions.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining focus, ownership, and meeting timeline expectations.
- Good communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams, enabling effective coordination with cross-functional stakeholders and clear technical reporting.
- Experience in tools such as Exensio, Minitab, Excel, or equivalent, to support data analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
- Understanding of product test methodology and flow is an advantage, including knowledge of test concepts, coverage, and data interpretation to support product validation and improvement
