About the Role

The Development Engineering Manager leads the development and delivery of next-generation radio products within Doodle Labs’ wireless networking portfolio. This role is responsible for overseeing product development from concept through design, validation, and manufacturing while ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including RF, software, mechanical design, NPI, operations, and quality assurance to bring new radio products to market. You will also lead and grow a team of development engineers while supporting product lifecycle activities such as prototype validation, cost optimization, and regulatory certification.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead development of radio product variants from concept through design, validation, and manufacturing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across RF, software, mechanical, NPI, operations, and QA
  • Manage and coordinate engineers and specialists to ensure effective project execution
  • Develop automation processes to improve engineering efficiency and reduce test time
  • Create and validate prototypes to confirm design performance and functionality
  • Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives while maintaining product quality
  • Manage engineering changes related to component end-of-life and lifecycle transitions
  • Support regulatory certification processes for new products and markets.
  • Oversee development of technical documentation including datasheets, integration guides, and application notes
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams and vendors to support development and manufacturing readiness

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Communications Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of industry experience in wireless, radio, or RF product development
  • Strong knowledge of radio/Wi-Fi product development, product engineering, and quality processes
  • Proven experience working across hardware development and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams of engineers and technical specialists
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and confidence guiding engineering teams through complex projects
