Job Description:
- Defined responsibilities are related with serial and project products,
- Check part and assembly drawings, perform tolerance stack up analysis and implement GD&T on assembly and part drawings as necessary,
- Support to design center (Magna EU/UK/NA) or create and release (design center is TR) to assembly and sub-assembly and components functional requirements under Boundary Diagram & P-Diagram & DFMEA,
- Support to design center (Magna EU/UK/NA) and collect to whole customer specs, special requirements, design rules, legal requirements etc. and managing under DVP&R
- Check and adapt of the technical points according to whole specs that provided by customer and Magna to final product and components,
- Support to core team during whole project gates according to PDP (YC-YS, SCCAF, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc...),
- Responsible for design & developing for exterior and mirror systems and sub-system parts from concept phase till serial production.
- Co-operate with suppliers and customer to secure production and assembly feasibility of parts. Propose realistic ideas to be further developed in close collaboration with supplier and manufacturing plant,
- Giving on-site support for necessary last minute design changes and support the decision-making process,
- Decide on the ICA (Interim Containment Actions) and PCA (Permanent Containment Actions). Perform necessary design change to improve the quality, release new part, organize and follow-up the implementation procedure,
- Interface with prototype and production manufacturing teams to ensure DFM and DFA, Product BOMs, tolerances, SC’s and CCs are being met.,
- Lead root cause analysis and make design improvements as necessary,
- Hands on aptitude with the ability to assemble concept and prototype level parts,
- Participate in internal and external product application specific meetings,
- Review benchmarking and create lessons learned for next projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field; preferably with experience in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawings; experience with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX)
- Experience with automotive core tools such as DFMEA, P-Diagram, Boundary Diagram, and APQP
- Solid understanding of product development processes from concept to serial production; experience in BOM management and engineering change management (ECN)
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with OEMs, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFA principles; strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Proficiency in English, enabling effective collaboration with global teams.
