Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Product Engineer located in Aguascalientes.
Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, this role involves responsible for receiving, evaluating, cleaning, and customizing all technical information / documentation from the customer related to their product, derived from a New Product Introduction (NPI) or a design change to establish all necessary processes to manufacture it by maintaining its design and performance integrity.
What a typical day looks like:
- Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product.
- Define, implement, and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
- Have the capability to singly or with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
- Hold up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Review product drawings and product tolerancing to ensure product performance requirements are met.
- Develop and implement BOM management processes and best practices.
- Maintain documentation and records related to BOMs.
- Support engineering change orders (ECO) and manage BOM revisions.
- Prepare reports and presentations on BOM status and metrics.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to BOM management.
- Develop, implement, and take ownership of process control methodologies.
- Implement statistical process research on new and existing products.
- Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor' degree in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Industrial, or equivalent.
- Junior experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Proficiency in BOM management software
