The Product Engineer (Projects & NPD - New Product Development) acts as the liaison person between R&D, operations, and the quality team. The Product Engineer is responsible to assess risks of the manufacturing process of newly developed products and for the appropriate actions to ensure quality and an efficient manufacturing process. The Product Engineer (Sustaining Engineering) performs the necessary actions within Product Engineering’s responsibility to support/manage the current product portfolio through its lifecycle.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Product Engineering and is part of the Product Engineering department and will be an on-site role.
What you’ll do:
Primary objective is to actively participate in R&D projects, where you provide early design input from a manufacturability perspective aligned with Quality and Operations.
Leading local projects initiated by product engineering or other departments.
Product Engineering Sustaining activities are defined as product changes to support the products through their lifecycle. These product changes can be triggered from various inputs (supplier-initiated changes, improvements of safety, quality, costs, productivity, or other site metrics).
Prepare detailed validation protocols for IQ, OQ, PQ, execution and write the validation reports in close cooperation with quality engineering.
You initiate change requests and work with a team to perform a robust risk assessment
Who are you:
Min. Bachelor’s in Engineering Degree e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Business Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Able to write validation (IQ, OQ and PQ) documents for new products, processes, and equipment.
Knowledge of process validation procedures and techniques, e.g., Process and product FMEA and process capability studies.
Competent with Microsoft Office applications and Minitab.
It will be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Knowledge of SAP
Knowledge in Danaher DBS or Lean Manufacturing
