To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Product Engineer located in Aguascalientes.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer, Product Engineer role will be responsible for Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support maintenance of manufacturing methods by performing the following duties in the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.

What a typical day looks like:

• Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies and techniques
• Designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
• Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root-causes of equipment failures and develop hands-on maintenance skills.
• Work with other engineering stakeholders and customers on problem solving and continuous improvement to the design of equipment and products and may develop corrective and preventive action plans
• May be involved in development and and update of PFMEA for new products
• May participate in control plan development
• Write and update work instructions and other documents (e.g. specifications, procedures)
• Examines and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Coordinates with customers to identify product specifications and design changes and responds to customer request.
• Provides information for management recommendations from a technical and technical cost perspective.
• Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience
• Advanced-Intermediate English level
• Proficiency in CAD, robotics, PLC programming, and other automation technologies
• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, cable and harness testing, troubleshooting, component testing, and logic analyzers
• Skilled in inspection processes for bare boards, systems, components, cables and harnesses, using microscopes and measuring instruments
• Competence in the use of mechanical and electrical tools, including taps and dies, alignment tools, and measuring devices
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
