JOB SUMMARY:

Complete tasks supporting the development of cabinetry products. Leadership role in the implementation of projects originating from the New Product Development pipeline. Support other engineering projects as required.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist new product development project teams through implementation.
  • Develop and manage project timelines and coordinate team meetings.
  • Improve products and processes using DMAIC and Kaizen tools.
  • Develop and maintain CAD models and technical drawings for parts, assemblies and processes as required.
  • Provide data and product knowledge support.
  • Use Change Management system and processes to drive projects to completion.
  • Resolve any issues that arise during product development and daily manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical field and 2-5 years of experience in engineering or related technical field.
  • Manufacturing process and new product development experience.
  • Intermediate 3D CAD modeling skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks.
  • Basic computer programming skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent project management skills including leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Experience in Woodworking or the Furniture Industry.
  • Lean and 6 Sigma experience.
  • Parametric Modeling experience.
