Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Product Engineer located in Flex Batam.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager the Product Engineer role is responsible to manage and drive implementation plan on engineering change with customer focus team members throughout entire change cycle.
What a typical day looks like:
- Understand and analyse change detail, drawing & BOM
- Understand Mechanical , Electrical & Electronics drawings
- Basic Knowledge on Pneumatic assemblies
- Ensure change report updated with part status & implemented info (e.g. part approval report number, product serial number and date)
- Ensure system BOM updated as of engineering change.
- Update system BOM according to engineering change details
- Understand and analyse change details, customer BOM, system features and system BOM structure for overall efficiency improvement
- Troubleshoot system BOM error to be validated with change details / internal control
- Handle claim relevant to engineering change.
- Prepare and consolidate claim triggered by engineering change to address possible price variance and part exposure
- Manage claim tracker for progress status tracking for closure.
- Share quotation with customer PIC and follow up on customer PO status.
- Provide value added services to improve routine task
- Standby for adhoc task aim to improve overall routine task or to align with organizational goals.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics or equivalent experience in addition to 2 years of operations experience.
- Demonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding
- Experience in manufacturing / final Mechanical assembly / Machine building
- Good communication skills
