Product Engineer

The Product Engineer is responsible for mechanical and electrical engineering analysis, detailed design and development of special requirements, as well as selection of air- and water-cooled chillers components and systems, including providing support to the production, laboratory, service, applications, and marketing teams located globally. We prefer you to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

 

How you will do it:

  • Investigates and analyzes product design proposals and able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product.
  • Proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support designs.
  • Responsible for technical direction to application engineers, designers, factory operations, product marketing, and product technical service.
  • Responsible for the accurate completion of projects.
  • Proficient at selecting the most suitable electrical and mechanical components.
  • Uses standard and sophisticated technical and mathematical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, processes, and standard methodologies in field.
  • Responsible for engineering drawings including electrical schematics, bill of materials.
  • Experience with mechanical systems and material resource planning (MRP) software also a plus.
  • Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
  • Implementing prevention risks tools such as DFMEA.
  • Creates specifications, requirements, and criteria for concepts, performance, and production
  • Designs and develops devices in accordance with the various phases of a program schedule.
  • Develops, maintains, and releases engineering drawings, system designs, or engineering documentation.
  • Provides manufacturing support ensuring products are built according to customer requirements and product specifications.
  • Performs failure analysis and corrective actions when necessary

 

What we look for:
Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, mechanical, or related field)
  • Minimum 5 year of product development experience
  • SAP operational knowledge.
  • Able to speak to technical and non-technical audiences, as well as absorb and use technical documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Travel domestically and internationally required (up to 10% of time)

 

Preferred

  • HVAC or research and development experience.
  • Experience in bills of material maintenance, engineering changes or super-user capabilities in unrelated modules.
  • Product Lifecycle Management experience.
  • Familiarity with HVAC Systems and electromechanical engineering design and test is helpful.
  • Knowledge of design core tools.
