Product Engineer (32-40 hours)

Are you ready to take ownership of our innovative products and create engineering impact?

About the Role

As a Product Engineer, you'll become the go-to technical owner for our standardized product families throughout their entire in-service lifecycle. From development through production to retirement, you'll ensure it meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and profitability.

Your work will involve managing engineering changes, preventing obsolescence issues before they become problems, maintaining critical BOMs and configurations, and diving deep into root cause analysis when things don't go as planned. This is a role where you'll see directly the results of your decisions and improvements on the production floor.

What makes this opportunity exciting is the variety and responsibility. One day you might be facilitating a Product Review Board meeting, the next you could be troubleshooting a production issue alongside manufacturing engineers or analyzing field data to drive product improvements.

We're looking for someone who's curious, proactive, and motivated to learn. If complex technical challenges excite you, collaboration within interdisciplinary teams energizes you, and you're not afraid to make engineering decisions, this role offers an exceptional foundation for your professional growth.

What Will You Do?

  • Manage engineering changes across the full product lifecycle, from initiating and processing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to ensuring smooth implementation across all stakeholders

  • Own configuration management for your products, maintaining accurate BOMs, product structures, and technical documentation in the PLM system

  • Manage the End-to-End Lifecycle phases by governing controlled releases, obsolescence planning, and risk assessments for design changes.  Contribute to New Product Introduction projects, making sure new designs transition smoothly into production.

  • Lead root cause analysis investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, A3) when quality issues or non-conformances occur

  • Maintain technical documentation including design verification results, specifications, release notes, and product configurations to ensure traceability

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce complexity through modularization and standardization, improve quality, optimize costs, and enhance production processes using Lean principles

  • Bridge the gap between engineering and production, ensuring smooth product transitions and sustained engineering support throughout the product's operational life

What Do You Bring?

  • An engineering qualification or relevant technical experience with proven experience of working with complex systems in a relevant field (Bachelor's degree or equivalent)

  • Genuine passion for engineering and how products are designed, manufactured, and maintained throughout their lifecycle

  • Analytical mindset with natural curiosity to understand root causes, question assumptions, and solve problems systematically

  • Eagerness to learn and develop your skills across multiple engineering disciplines

  • Strong communication skills that allow you to explain technical concepts clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders

  • You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams and building relationships across departments

  • Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and isn't afraid to ask questions or seek help

  • Familiarity with PLM-software is a plus

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for documentation and collaboration with international teams

What Do We Offer?

  • Career growth opportunities based on your development and contributions

  • Flexible working arrangements (flexible workhours, work one day from home) to support work-life balance

  • Competitive salary designed to reward your contributions and support your wellbeing

  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and innovative engineering solutions in the manufacturing industry

Ready to take ownership of products that matter?
