As a Product Engineer at Elevate Semiconductor, you will own the test hardware, equipment, and programs that support our high performance analog and mixed signal IC production. You will ensure quality, reliability, and efficiency by maintaining test systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving continuous improvement across production operations.
This role is ideal for a hands on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in a collaborative, team first environment. Flexibility to support both Product Engineering and Applications Engineering, along with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines, is expected.
This is a full time onsite position based in San Diego, California, requiring in office collaboration five days per week.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the product data sheet, bench test plan, bench validation, and characterization scripts for 10-bit, 16-bit, and 20-bit Digital-to-Analog Converters.
- Proficiency with MATLAB for Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) analysis.
- Perform debugging of printed circuit boards to identify and resolve component failures.
- Develop and update documentation for test results, data analysis, and hardware enhancements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of daily activities to ensure accessibility for a broad audience.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to implement improvements in EVM hardware and firmware.
- Support initiatives related to correlation, gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R), and test time reduction.
- Drive continuous improvements in test efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Applications team to support customer-facing activities and product deployment as required.
- Demonstrated familiarity with Gaussian distribution plots and analytical tools such as ANOVA or regression analysis or a regression analytical tool.
- Experience with LTspice and TINA for electrical circuit simulation.
- Familiarity with ultra-low current measurements, including leakage currents in the nanoampere (nA) range.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in a comparable role.
- Familiarity with Python, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, pattern generators, and logic analyzers.
- Interest in product testing, automated test equipment (ATE), or hardware test development.
- Proficient in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and soldering tools for debugging purposes.
- Demonstrated analytical mindset with strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Adaptable in dynamic team environments with frequently changing requirements.
- Willing to learn on a day-to-day basis and collaborate in a team environment.
- Willing to go the extra mile during the silicon validation when a new silicon arrives. Must be able to work late evenings and weekends as needed during the arrival of a new silicon.
- Willing to learn hardware design, component placement, board layout, PCB simulation, through-hole vias, and electrical verification of layout files using Altium.
- Familiarity with Fourier Analysis and Sampling theorem with regards to digital analog converters.
- Analysis of ATE or bench results in stdf or .csv format

The salary range for this role is $80,000.00-$110,000.00. The final compensation will depend on your experience, skill set, and how well you're able to highlight your background throughout the interview process.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in a comparable role.
