Position Summary
The Product Engineer is responsible for supporting, improving, and sustaining products throughout their lifecycle, from New Product Introduction (NPI) through mass production and post-launch support. This role serves as a key technical interface between R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations, ensuring products are manufacturable, reliable, cost-effective, and compliant with quality and regulatory requirements.
The Product Engineer leads engineering investigations, drives product and process improvements, manages engineering changes, supports manufacturing operations, and ensures successful implementation of technical solutions across the organization.

Own and support products throughout their lifecycle, including NPI, production ramp-up, sustaining engineering, and end-of-life activities.
  • Lead technical investigations and root cause analysis for product, manufacturing, and field-related issues.
  • Drive implementation of engineering changes (ECO/ECR) and evaluate impacts on manufacturing, quality, supply chain, logistics, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure successful transfer of products from development to production.
  • Support manufacturing operations by providing engineering expertise and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Develop, review, and maintain product documentation including specifications, drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and engineering records.
  • Manage and maintain product configurations and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within PLM and ERP systems.
  • Lead validation and qualification activities associated with product and process changes.
  • Work closely with Quality teams to investigate non-conformances, implement CAPAs, and improve product quality and reliability.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues and ensure design intent is maintained.
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI), validation activities, and manufacturing readiness reviews.
  • Identify and implement product cost reduction, yield improvement, and efficiency optimization initiatives.
  • Analyze product performance data and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in risk assessments and support product compliance activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company engineering processes, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial, Biomedical, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, or New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience managing engineering changes and product configurations.
  • Experience with PLM and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global environments.
  • High level of English proficiency, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical devices or regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing and sustaining engineering activities.
  • Familiarity with design transfer and product industrialization processes.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and risk management methodologies.
  • Experience working with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Project management experience in cross-functional environments.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
