This role sits at the intersection of product engineering, robotics integration, machine vision, and applied AI, translating real‑world service and manufacturing problems into robust, scalable solutions using collaborative robots (cobots), sensing, and intelligent software.
The engineer will contribute hands‑on from concept and discovery, through prototype and pilot, to productization and deployment, working closely with Product, Service, Systems, Software, and AI teams across KLA.
- Lead and support development of robotic and cobot‑based use cases for service and manufacturing environments, including handling, inspection, maintenance, and assistive automation.
- Define and integrate end‑of‑arm tooling (EOAT), fixtures, sensors, and vision systems required for robotic applications
- Collaborate on robot hardware bring‑up, validation, and bench testing in lab and pilot environments.
- Partner with AI and Software teams to integrate machine vision, perception, and AI models into robotic workflows (e.g., vision‑guided manipulation, health checks, inspection).
- Support definition of data pipelines, sensing strategies, and model feedback loops to improve performance and reliability.
- Contribute to deployment of Service AI and Robotics AI use cases into real customer and factory environments.
Minimum Qualifications
