Zur Unterstützung unseres zentralen Engineering Centers der Magna Mirrors Europe am Standort Sailauf bei Aschaffenburg suchen wir zum 01. Mai 2027 einen Product Engineer Outside Mirror (OSM) (m/w/x).
Deine Aufgaben
- Umsetzung von Konzepten, Prototypen und Entwicklung von Serienprodukten unter Berücksichtigung der internen Richtlinien wie z. B. Qualitäts- und Fertigungsstandards, GDS-Standards unter Einhaltung des Budgets, der Fristen und der Meilensteinspezifikationen
- Überprüfung grundlegender Prinzipien der Produktentwicklung wie z. B. rechtliche Anforderungen und Vorschriften, Industriestandards, Kundenanforderungen und Produktspezifikationen sowie geistigen Eigentum in Abstimmung mit dem Projektteam
- Verantwortung für die geprüften und genehmigten 3D-Modelle und 2D-Zeichnungen sowie Daten zur Produktion in unseren Fertigungsstandorten
- Erstellung und Verwaltung des Design Books während den Konzept- und Serienentwicklungsphase
- Generierung und Validierung der CAD-Konstruktionen und Modellbildungen, der Komponenten- und Montagezeichnungen sowie der Daten zur technische Umsetzung (Material, Produzierbarkeit, Qualität)
- Unterstützung des Advanced Quality Engineerings bei Design Verification Production & Readiness für die finale Produktvalidierung / Genehmigung vor Produktionsstart
- Überprüfung des Designs während der Entwicklung in der Produktionsstätte und beim Kunden oder Lieferanten
- Sicherstellung der Homologation des Produkts und der ordnungsgemäßen Dokumentation nach internen und Kundenanforderungen, wie z. B. Konstruktionsbücher, Genehmigung der Überprüfung der Meilensteine, individuelles Projektrating / Risikobewertung
Wissen und Ausbildung:
- Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium des Maschinenbaus, Mechatronik, Kunststofftechnik oder eine vergleichbare Ausbildung bzw. Qualifikation
Berufserfahrung
- Fortgeschritten (2-5 Jahre Erfahrung): Erfahrung in der Automobilindustrie oder einer ähnlichen Industrie in ähnlicher Funktion mit direktem Kontakt zu den OEMs (insbesondere BMW)
- Allgemeine Engineering und Projektmanagement-Fähigkeiten als fundiertes Hintergrundwissen
- Besondere Erfahrung bei der Entwicklung von Kunststoffkomponenten und Wissen über Spritzwerkzeuge (von Vorteil)
Kenntnisse und Kompetenzen:
- Umfassendes Verständnis für technische, insbesondere mechanische Zusammenhänge
- Kenntnisse im Bereich von Automotive Komponenten und Werkstoffe
- Erfahrung in der Konstruktion von Kunststoffteilen und Werkzeugen
- Analytisches Denkvermögen und selbständiges Arbeiten
- Hohes Maß an Kundenorientierung
- Organisations- und Kommunikationstalent
- Gute Kenntnisse in mechanischer Konstruktion mit Catia V5, NX von Vorteil
- Kenntnisse in Simulationsmethoden (z.B. FEM, Mold Flow)
- Teamfähigkeit und Erfahrung in der Projektarbeit
- Sehr gute MS-Office Kenntnisse
- Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.

Skills Required
- Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, plastics engineering, or comparable education or qualification
- 2-5 years of experience in the automotive or similar industry in a comparable role
- Direct contact with OEMs, especially BMW
- General engineering and project management skills
- Understanding of technical and mechanical relationships
- Knowledge of automotive components and materials
- Experience designing plastic parts and tools
- Mechanical design experience with CATIA V5
- Knowledge of simulation methods such as FEM or Mold Flow
- Very good MS Office skills
- Fluent German and English, spoken and written
- Experience with injection molds
- Knowledge of NX
