Remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the Company.
The Product Lead Engineer will bridge business strategy and delivery execution. While grounded in strong engineering and data judgment, the role emphasizes product thinking, stakeholder alignment, and lifecycle ownership over day‑to‑day platform operations. The Product Lead Engineer ensures solutions are evolved to meet real user needs, regulatory expectations, and long‑term enterprise objectives, with a focus on enabling high‑quality clinical data and actionable insights.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Ownership & Direction
- Clinical Data Management & Insights, supporting clinical, patient, and operational decision‑making across the product lifecycle.
- Own end‑to‑end accountability for the solution, from problem definition and discovery through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Business Product Managers, clinical stakeholders, and operations leaders to define product vision, objectives, and measurable outcomes.
- Translate clinical, patient, and operational needs into clear priorities and outcome‑driven roadmaps.
- Continuously refine direction based on user feedback, adoption trends, and evolving business priorities.
Product‑Led Solution Design
- Guide solution direction to ensure products are fit‑for‑purpose, scalable, compliant, and sustainable.
- Leverage modern data engineering approaches to enable trusted, high‑quality data for clinical, patient, and operational use cases.
- Experience with Data & Analytical platforms like Databricks, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and related data technologies as part of a broader product ecosystem.
- Make informed trade‑offs between customization, reuse, speed, and long‑term maintainability.
Stakeholder & User Engagement
- Act as a primary interface between users, patient‑focused teams, operational stakeholders, and delivery teams.
- Lead discussions to clarify needs, manage expectations, and align on priorities and success measures.
- Communicate product decisions, progress, and risks clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Build trust through transparency, consistency, and focus on value delivery.
Data‑Enabled Value Realization
- Ensure solutions effectively support clinical, patient, and operational data use, enabling insights, review, and decision‑making.
- Promote strong practices around data quality, reliability, and governance, particularly in regulated environments.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and outcomes through automation, analytics, and advanced data‑driven capabilities.
- Define and track success metrics such as adoption, efficiency gains, quality improvements, and user satisfaction.
Delivery Oversight & Ways of Working
- Provide direction to delivery teams to ensure work remains aligned with product priorities and intended outcomes.
- Encourage collaboration, accountability, and ownership across cross‑functional teams.
- Mentor team members to think in terms of customer value, product impact, and long‑term sustainability.
- Foster an inclusive, outcome‑focused culture that values learning and continuous improvement.
Required
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree
- Needs to have at least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience as a Product Lead Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Technical Product Owner, with ownership of solution direction and lifecycle outcomes.
- Strong background in data–enabled solutions, guiding how data is sourced, structured, and consumed to meet business and user needs.
- Hands‑on experience working with data platforms such as Databricks collaborating with engineering teams on design and evolution rather than platform operations alone.
- Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL, and solid understanding of data modeling, querying, and data quality considerations.
- Proven experience working with clinical, patient, and operational data, and understanding how this data supports clinical development, research, and operational workflows.
- Experience operating in regulated environments, with awareness of data governance, privacy, security, and compliance expectations.
- Strong ability to translate complex business needs into clear product direction and priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile or product‑centric delivery models.
Preferred
- Experience supporting clinical development, R&D, healthcare, or life‑sciences operations.
- Familiarity with modern data engineering practices without requiring deep platform specialization.
- Exposure to cloud‑based data ecosystems and multi‑source data integration.
- Experience enabling analytics, insights, or advanced data‑driven decision support.
- Exposure to automation, AI/ML, or Generative AI‑enabled capabilities.
- Experience working within large, matrixed organizations.
