Your Role
In your daily job you will:
Drive the brand new product development of advanced Low voltage connectors FMEA and risk analysis (familiar with FEA , GD&T, tolerance analysis) Review DFM with cross functions Identify the test procedure and lead the test plan with Validation Engineer Coordinate with multiple sections to ensure product design, fabricate, design validation and certification testing is completed according to standards Be a technical partner, troubleshoot and provide support to manufacturing engineer, QA, sales, marketing, external customers. Insight the existing knowledge and new technology research, build technical influence on cross functions
Your Background
Completion of a bachelor’s degree of Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent from a four-year college or university, or above 5+ years of connector design experience, 3+ years automotive connector, prefer have terminal, header, FFC/FPC and board to board connector experience. Excellent connector knowledge of contact physics, material, finishes. Familiar with connector manufacturing process as well (stamping, molding, plating, assembly). Must be self-motivated, Independent analysis, judgment ability on any design or process issue. This also need dynamic personality with strong winning and high-performance mindset. General knowledge of automotive standard such as USCAR, LV214, GM3191 are desirable and experience of testing requirement, techniques for product qualification Strong data analysis skills (6sigma /DOE/SPC/CPK/MSA etc.) Must have good team-oriented and interpersonal skills to work across global multi-cultural team.
Nice to haves (preferred qualifications)
Knowledge of E/E Architecture and how it impact to the connector Good OEM customer relationship Basic knowledge in IATF16949 Knowledge of wire termination, SMT and seal techniques, such as crimping, soldering, seal
