Product/Test Engineer in Individual Contributor Role
This position offers a great opportunity to work on industry leading semiconductor devices, targeted for broad applications in Automotive and Industrial markets. In this role, you’ll be a member of Cost Entitlement and Sustaining PE team, tasked with supporting product lines and business P&Ls on new product introduction and legacy product sustaining activities, including legacy product support, addressing FAB process, Assembly Yield, and Test Yield excursions, Factory Transfers, driving cost reduction to benchmark entitlement goals, and supporting customer RMA root-cause and fix analysis. Knowledge and experience with software development using of C++ / C / Python / JAVA is necessary. Candidate should know how to operate ATE platforms and programming language to develop low level ATE code for Analog / Mix Signal blocks. End goal is to productize deep Analog and Mix Signal product families, enabling organization benchmarks in cost and quality goals.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibilities will include:
- Own cost reduction and entitlement activities (MPY, FTY, Test Cost, COBs) across all products in AMG.
- Generate daily / weekly automated data analysis reports (various – eGAP, cWATY, Scrap, etc).
- Own customer RMA activities and post-RMA root cause disposition including EFA / PFA (electrical and physical failure analysis).
- Interface with FAB, Assembly, and factory Test teams and engineers for driving yield improvement activities across various products.
- Drive cost reduction activities such as burn-in reduction / elimination, test and manufacturing flow optimization, test time and yield enhancements.
- Interface with various cross-functional teams such as Program Management, QRE/CQE, Design, and Bench FW Development Engineers.
- Document gaps, lessons learned, and best practices back to NPDE PE teams for better execution on future projects.
- Must be able to update / modify existing code with innovation and improvisation focused on efficiency and test-cost reduction.
- Good understanding on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) system architecture (ETS800, T2K, IFlex etc.) and able to work with vendor to develop low level automation code.
Good IC and test knowledge and background, across digital, analog, RF, and mixed-signal, along with knowledge of ATE platforms, DfT strategies and test methods, and test instrumentation requirements for various Analog, Mixed-Signal, and Digital tests is critical. Strong data-analysis skills are a must. Knowledge in general coding and having programming skills, and ability to write scripts in C/C++ and PERL (or Python) is considered a plus. Must have prior hands-on experience working ATE Test Equipment for IC testing, and good understanding of ATE system architectures.
