Job DescriptionAs a Product Engineer at EVSE, you will play a key role in the development, testing, and support of our EV charging hardware and software solutions. Working across cross-functional teams, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to ensure our products are both innovative and reliable.
YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Product Development:
- Develop new electric vehicle charging hardware and associated systems.
- Conduct thorough testing of new products and software updates, identifying areas for improvement and confirming product integrity.
- Liaise with hardware suppliers during the design and testing process.
- Technical Liaison:
- Provide technical expertise to Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and other internal teams.
- Draft and review technical specifications, requirements, and product documentation.
- Support the electrical team with commissioning and quality control of new EV chargers before shipment.
- Customer Support & Training:
- Provide prompt and accurate Tier 3 technical support to customers and electricians via phone, email, and other channels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues, providing feedback and training to Tier 1 and 2 support teams.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including manuals, technical notes, and FAQs.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a focus on Electrical engineering is advantageous.
- 2-5 years of experience in an Engineering role, preferably in R&D or product development for the EV, solar, or other.
- Technical knowledge of EV charging technology is ideal.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and lead innovative product development initiatives.
- Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturing partners.
