Job Description

The Product Strategy team at Blueflame AI for Datasite bridges the capabilities of the technology we build with the domain-specific needs and expectations of our clients. The Product Engineer role will help bring our use cases to life for clients, building repeatable processes to solve domain-specific problems that generalize across our client base of investors and bankers. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, organized, and passionate about generative AI and improving financial workflows. Product Engineers often work with clients and build relationships that empower them to understand and support a client’s AI journey and aspirations. The role requires flexibility, bias to action, and a drive to excel in a fluid, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Architect AI-Powered Workflows: Translate complex investing and banking processes outlined by product strategists into clear, robust LLM-ready blueprints; decompose financial workflows into modular components that that can be generalized and repeated at scale through prompt refinement and context engineering.

  • Drive Quality Excellence: Design and test AI output evaluation frameworks to support continuous improvement across prompting and workflow design; maintain the rigorous standards for quality that our clients expect.

  • Partner with Clients: Engage directly with financial professionals to understand workflow pain points; rapidly prototype and iterate based on feedback; produce compelling presentations, demonstrations, and examples of how Blueflame’s solutions address these pain points and deliver measurable value.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with engineering team to understand and improve the interplay between prompts and code in the platform; partner with product strategists and client success team in building out new use cases for clients.

  • Build Scalable Foundations: Create reusable prompt libraries and workflow patterns that accelerate deployment; document prompt engineering best practices for financial domains; develop internal tooling that enables faster, higher-quality solution delivery

What You Bring

  • Technical Foundation: Prefer Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field; strong analytical mindset with ability to decompose complex problems into testable components; commitment to staying current and seeking to understand the practical implications of the latest advances in AI technology.

  • AI Implementation Experience: Hands-on experimentation with prompt engineering and testing for AI applications in business settings; proven ability to build AI-accelerated workflows using tools like Zapier, Lindy, n8n, or similar platforms.

  • Passion for AI in Finance: Deep curiosity about generative AI's transformative potential in financial services; ability to explain technical solutions to financial audiences and enthusiasm for solving nuanced investing and banking challenges.

  • Client-Facing Technical Skills: Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders from analysts to partners at financial institutions; comfort conducting impromptu demonstrations, whiteboard sessions, and polished presentations.

  • Builder Mindset: Thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities; takes ownership to drive solutions from concept through implementation; combines experimentation with systematic thinking to deliver quality outcomes at the intersection of AI and finance.

Work Location & Flexibility 

This position is based in our NYC office and follows a hybrid work model. Employees work on-site a minimum of (3) days per week. Please note that specific business units or role requirements may necessitate additional in-office days based on team collaboration needs or operational priorities.

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position.  Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

$82,900.00 - $142,000.00
