About the role 

As a Product Documentation Specialist you will create, edit, and review client-facing, product documentation for the Infobip platform, products, and solutions.

Our Product Documentation team sits within Product Development, focusing on the content and user experience of our Infobip Documentation Hub (Docs).

The documentation hub is a collection of product documentation, how-to-use cases, and general information about the platform created to help our customers get started with Infobip and get inspired on how to connect with their end users.

On a daily basis, you'll be working closely with multiple teams and use Jira to track your work. 

A typical day may look like this:

  • Create, improve, update, and proactively maintain content of Infobips' technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with peers from different departments on creating new or updating current content of Infobips' technical documentation to achieve technical accuracy, make documentation easy to scan, legible and readable.
  • Partner with Product Managers for assigned product and features.
  • Develop or maintain document templates, information, and content structures that helps to make documentation cohesive and improve efficiency of writing.
  • Write technical tutorials and how-to tutorials.
  • Collaborate on technical schemes, illustrations, diagrams, and screenshots.
  • Assist in enhancing the team's efficiency by focusing on refining team processes.
  • Facilitate the adaptation of documentation to cater to user needs, while partnering with peers to improve the information architecture and user experience of the documentation site.
  • Continuously build knowledge about Infobips' products to become domain expert.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends. Share knowledge internally and grow your skill set. Be a tech writer ambassador.

For this job, you'll need:

  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable to our target audience.
  • Relevant technical writing experience in documenting features, UI, and writing concise technical guides within software development (Product Documentation Specialist, Technical Content Writer, Technical Documentation Specialist, Documentation Manager).
  • A proactive, persistent, and patient, as well as open-minded, and optimistic attitude to resolving problems and delivering results.
  • Preferably a degree in IT or English language studies, or equivalent work experience.
  • Native level or full professional proficiency in the English language (written and verbal). Superior command of the English language, including grammar and language usage.
  • Superior research skills. Strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable speaking with subject matter experts to obtain the necessary information to write documentation.
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work with multiple teams and departments across different time zones to produce the documentation.
  • Quickly learn and adopt new technology, tools, and processes in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. 

 Bonus points 

  • We'd love you to be a lifelong learner.
  • Familiar with style guides. e.g., Microsoft Manual of Style. 
  • Had experience in writing docs-as-code.
  • Basic UX writing skills.
  • Experience documenting APIs.
