Resy is the American Express global dining platform. Our mission is to power the world’s best restaurants, using technology to imagine the future of hospitality. We serve 16,000 restaurants globally.
Our customers discover the amazing world of restaurants thanks to our content-rich website and innovative mobile app. Our diners are insiders, and we love having them at the table.
We’re hiring, too. Interested in joining our team of restaurant-obsessed explorers? Right this way.
We are seeking a Director of Applied AI, Consumer Product to own and elevate the Resy native consumer experience across iOS, Android, and Resy.com. This is a role for a sharp, hands-on product leader who sets the standard for what great consumer product looks like and makes everyone around them better.
You will lead a team of consumer PMs against aggressive engagement goals, shaping how diners discover, validate, book, and return to the world's best restaurants. AI is central to how you approach this work: not as a feature to ship, but as a core lever for building a product that becomes more personalized, more intuitive, and more indispensable with every interaction.
This is a rare opportunity to leave a lasting mark on a product loved by millions of diners globally, and to help define a new standard for how Resy builds.
Responsibilities- Lead a High-Performing Team: Manage and mentor consumer PMs with a hands-on, high-standards style that builds craft and fast iteration
- Own the Consumer Product Strategy: Drive strategy across how diners discover, validate, book, and return, knowing where AI meaningfully moves the needle at each stage
- Build Sticky, Intelligent Experiences: Define and ship AI-powered personalization, search, and discovery features that make Resy more indispensable with every interaction
- Build for Habit and Loyalty: Design engagement loops and retention mechanics grounded in behavioral dynamics, and apply AI to make each more effective at scale
- Champion Discovery and Craft: Embed continuous discovery into how your team builds, partnering with Design and UXR to ensure every surface is intuitive, polished, and validated
- Drive a Fast, Experimental Culture: Build a team that moves quickly, tests rigorously, and learns faster than the competition
- Raise the Ceiling on How the Organization Builds: Model what modern, AI-powered consumer product development looks like and bring the rest of the organization with you
- 6+ years in Product Management with at least 2 years managing PMs in a fast-moving, metric-driven environment, with a strong track record on engagement, retention, or activation
- Exceptional product sense and UX/UI sensibility: you synthesize research quickly, challenge design until it's right, and raise the quality of everything you touch
- Sophisticated, pragmatic command of applied AI in consumer products: personalization, recommendation, intelligent discovery, and adaptive experiences, with shipped features that drove measurable behavior change
- Fluent in modern product methods: experimentation, A/B testing, behavioral analytics, and building a culture of disciplined learning
- Hands-on with modern AI and prototyping tools (e.g. Cursor, Bolt, Claude Code) and comfortable moving fast from concept to something real
- Proven ability to lead through influence, set clear priorities, and make well-reasoned decisions in ambiguous environments
- Experience in hospitality, dining, travel, or marketplace consumer products
- Working knowledge of engagement mechanics: gamification, loyalty loops, social proof, diner identity, and community-driven product features
- Experience with content-rich discovery surfaces and editorial or algorithmic curation
- Track record of maturing product practices and elevating product craft across a team or organization
