DuPont E&I Industrial Solutions has an exciting and challenging position as a Product Development (PD) Specialist for MOLYKOTE® specialty lubricants. MOLYKOTE® specialty lubricants are designed and engineered to solve lubrication-related problems and save energy by reducing friction and wear. We offer a broad portfolio of specialty lubricants including greases, anti-seize pastes, multipurpose oils, specialty compounds, dispersions, anti-friction coatings and more, for a wide range of applications in automotive, industrial, appliance and maintenance.

The PD Specialist will support MOLYKOTE® specialty lubricants business in China. The job holder will work closely with TS&D, MT (Manufacturing Technology), BD and marketing to identify and win opportunities, have line of sight and take ownership to develop effective solutions for the region, develop and qualify new products based on customized material properties, coordinate new product launch, serve as a mechanism to feedback regional needs to marketing and R&D to well position MOLYKOTE® specialty lubricants and drive sustainable business growth for the region.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead new product development for specialty lubricants in Asia Pacific, addressing unmet customer needs with a strong balance of performance, manufacturability, quality, and commercial viability.

· Own the end-to-end product development process, from concept through formulation, testing, qualification, and commercialization. Ensure alignment with DuPont’s technical and regulatory standards.

· Drive product qualification at target customers and support localization efforts in China by collaborating with global and regional cross-functional teams.

· Provide technical leadership in the lab, including experiment design, data analysis, and mentoring of lab technologists. Build lab capabilities by introducing new equipment, processes, and test methods.

· Ensure rigorous documentation and IP protection, maintaining accurate records and compliance with quality systems and lab safety protocols.

· Monitor industry trends and customer needs, integrating insights into technology roadmaps and multi-generation product plans. Actively scout and introduce relevant external technologies.

· Represent the product development function in internal and external technical forums, including customer meetings, industry conferences, and professional societies.

· Support strategic initiatives, including value proposition development, competitive analysis, and technical content creation for marketing and sales enablement.

Qualifications：

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or above in Applied Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.

· Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in lubricant or formulation/product development, with knowledge in tribology (friction and wear) is preferred.

· Proven ability to learn quickly, translate customer needs into product solutions, and drive development projects from concept to commercialization.

· Strong problem-solving skills, with experience applying analytical techniques to overcome technical challenges in product development.

· Familiarity with patent analysis and prior art review; ability to leverage knowledge management tools to support innovation and maintain technology leadership.

· Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to deliver clear and persuasive technical presentations.

· Self-motivated and proactive, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Proven ability to identify and drive new product opportunities, working effectively with cross-functional teams to manage complex development projects.

· Track record of technical accomplishments, such as successful product launches, granted patents, peer-reviewed publications, or innovative product claims.
