We are looking for a development manager for our Pension Portals department (PDE) within Keylane.  Are you a hands-on leader who can combine operational excellence with people management? Then we would love to speak with you.

Key About Your Role

As a Development Manager, you will work closely with another Development Manager and the Senior Manager within PDE. Each of you leads your own team of approximately 10 developers. 

You are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of our Life & Pension (L&P) SaaS portal solutions. In this role, you act as the bridge between the internal delivery organization, your development team, and our customers. 

Key About Your Responsibilities
    • Leading and coaching a team of ~10 developers, fostering growth and high performance  
    • Ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of our SaaS portal solutions  
    • Managing changes, releases, and ongoing support activities  
    • Driving monthly project releases in close collaboration with stakeholders  
    • Ensuring security, compliance, and audit readiness  
    • Meeting and maintaining customer service level agreements (SLAs)   
    • Managing costs while maintaining high service quality

Key About Your Team

PDE our front-office solution, seamlessly integrating with Keylane back-office systems (Plexus, Lifetime, LeanApps) or external back-office platforms. Plexus itself is our core back-office system. 

Within the PDE team, we develop participant-, employer-, and advisor portals for pension funds, insurers, and administrators. These portals are enriched by a wide range of customer journeys embedded in our product offering. 

Our team is structured into three key areas: Product Management, Product Development, and Delivery: 

  • Product Management defines and evolves the Plexus DE product based on internal and external requirements and priorities.  
  • Product Development builds and enhances the Plexus DE software according to Keylane standards.  
  • Delivery ensures customer-specific implementations through configuration (and occasional light customization).  

As a Development Manager within the PDE (Pension Portals) domain, you will lead your own dedicated development team and play a key role in driving delivery and operational excellence. 

The team operates in a collaborative and agile environment, focused on delivering high-quality SaaS services. 

Within PDE, you will work closely with other development teams, product stakeholders, and delivery colleagues, forming a strong and supportive management group. 


Requirements

You are a pragmatic and hands-on leader who understands both technology and people. You know how to balance operational excellence with team development. 

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Has experience leading software development teams (preferably in a SaaS environment)  
  • Combines strong people management skills with a delivery-focused mindset  
  • Has experience with release management, incident management, and service operations  
  • Understands the importance of security, compliance, and reliability in software delivery  
  • Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders  
  • Is proactive, structured, and able to manage multiple priorities  
  • Feels comfortable working in a customer-facing environment  
  • Communicates with ease and to a professional level in English, Dutch is a plus.

Benefits
  • A monthly gross salary between € 5200 and € 7200 based on 40 hours per week;
  • 8% holiday allowance of your total gross salary;

  • Travel reimbursement: Receive a mileage allowance of €0.23 per km or an NS Business Card, which can also be used for personal travel

  • Flexibility in working environment. As part of a hybrid working team, you will work partly from home and partly from the office. If you work in the office, a free lunch is waiting for you every day. If you work from home, you will receive a working from home allowance (€ 4 net per day) and internet allowance (€ 35 net per month);
  • The possibility of working remotely from abroad for up to 2 months per year;
  • The possibility to lease a bike through our bike leasing program;
  • A one-year contract that, subject to satisfactory performance, will be converted into a permanent contract;

Skills Required
