Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking a Product Development Manager II to design and develop products across several lines of business, including products offered through vendor solutions. This role identifies and develops new product value propositions and new product strategies to enhance the existing product portfolio and to retain and grow the Company's market leader position for health insurance products.
This will be an on-site position with a hybrid option following training.
To be considered for the role, you have the following:
Level I:Experience: 2 years of product development, implementation, lifecycle management, project management, or related health industry experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years of relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year of college)
Level II:Experience: 4 years of product development, implementation, lifecycle management, project management, or related health industry experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years of relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year of college)
What your day may look like:- Develop and implement a multi-year product development roadmap and strategy for assigned products.
- Ensure strategy and value proposition creation meets performance goals and are delivered within established timelines and budget.
- Create and formulate business plans (includes by is not limited to, market and competitive analysis, need identification, desired business position, return on investment, feasibility, product specifications, go-to market strategy, etc.) with support from P&L Leader to develop and implement products.
- Discover, develop, and evaluate new product ideas, enhancements to existing products, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products.
- Identify and review market competitive analysis and research effectiveness of new and existing products.
- Collaborate with business partners and/or key stakeholder to identify and react to market needs and develop membership forecasting and pricing strategy for new products, services, and benefit enhancements.
- Lead product development opportunities for both internal departments and external resources to ensure market winning products with accurate operational requirements.
- Ensure products meet regulatory requirements and manages and oversees the regulatory filings of products.
- Identify and manage the lifecycle management process from ideation to product launch to product discontinuance ensuring execution is in line with the project plan and addresses performance goals for assigned markets.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for the level I is $78,064 - $117,095 and the level II is $96,183 - $144,275. The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance).
The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, travel requirements, internal equity, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
