Job Description:
What will you work on?
As a Product Development Engineering Intern at Spin Master, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting brands in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be paired with a manager and a mentor who will help guide you through the experience and teach you the ins and outs of the position. You’ll directly support and contribute to new toy lines created within our Culver City office, working closely with a cross functional team to review products from an engineering perspective. In close partnership with the product development team lead, the intern will review molded parts, feature(s)/mechanisms, performance objectives, quality and safety requirements, launch timing and cost constraints.
How will you create impact?
- Work side by side with industry experts to develop exciting toy brands.
- Gain exposure to many aspects of the toy industry.
- Provide mechanical engineering support throughout the product development cycle.
- Support basic engineering documentation and communication with other team members.
- Participate in product brainstorming as required, across our various brands and portfolios.
- Support productivity by taking on new challenges or special projects
- Examine parts/components, from prototypes to production samples alongside product development lead
- Perform tasks independently while working closely with individual team members to ensure that objectives are met.

What are your skills and experience?
- Interest in toy development and consumer goods
- Understanding of materials and/or plastic injection molding processes a plus
- Ability to work with professionals from various backgrounds (engineering, marketing, design)
The anticipated pay for candidates who will work in California is $25 Per Hour. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
