Job Description:
- Project scope and specifications are well defined and followed
- Provide technical oversight to other engineers on large-scale projects
- Designs are functional, easily manufactured, on schedule, and meet customer expectations
- Designs meet Afinitas engineering standards
- Design analysis, drawings, and bills of material are accurate
- Develop innovative conceptual solutions
- Coordinate large development projects
- Perform design analysis for equipment
- Create manufacturing drawings for equipment
- Evaluate and implement design changes
- Work with manufacturing on build processes and improvement
- Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office software effectively
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree required
- Thorough understanding of:
- Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances
- Mechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed
- Strength of materials and structural analysis
- Manufacturing processes
- Ability to perform and take responsibility for structural and dynamic calculations
- Training and/or experience in using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Training and/or experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3-D modeling software
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lead effectively in a team environment
- Ability to solve problems and create solutions for projects with minimal supervision
- Displays professional conduct and exemplifies a standard of leadership
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.
