As a SpecTek DRAM Applications and Process Development Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the planning, development, and monitoring of product testing. During this process you will follow quality standards as specified by SpecTek and Micron.

Responsibilities and Tasks                          

Plan, Develop, Conduct, and Monitor Product Testing and Results

• Create and develop test programs internally for SpecTek products.
• Conduct internal tests, gather and analyze data, and document results and tests using feedback from performance in the intended application to tune the testing methodology.
• Monitor product performance on the test floor, and maintain the program for yield improvements/enhancements, test time reduction, new capabilities, and manufacturing process changes.
• Document and provide feedback of test results to internal Micron stakeholders.

Maintain Quality Through All Aspects of Development

• Internally monitor/evaluate yields to ensure delivery of quality products.
• Communicate and report findings with SpecTek management and engineering in a concise and effective format.
• Practice production quality standards as specified by SpecTek and Micron and help set those standards as needed.
• Maintain internal documentation and utilize revision control for all software.

Develop and Maintain Product/Testing Platform Knowledge

• Internally develop and maintain device/part knowledge as well as equipment, systems, and test processes.
• Collaborate with other Micron departments worldwide to develop and maintain product knowledge or technology.
• Internally develop and optimize software and tools to provide automation solutions that enable one or more of the following: output improvement, yield improvement, quality improvement, cost reduction, efficiency gain, and accuracy.

Support Manufacturing and Develop/Improve Test Process

• Internally investigate manufacturing issues related to Probe and Test processes and identify and implement solutions.
• Identify the root cause of the issue, ensure containment, and ensure that corrective action is implemented in a timely manner.
• Manage and analyze module Return Material Authorizations (RMAs), ensuring accurate processing and comprehensive reporting to improve product quality.

Develop Software, Process, And Data Automation Solutions

• Ensure all test programs, scripts, or any other software are tested and debugged prior to a production release.
• Keep abreast of changing IT technologies, introduce, and adapt methodology to improve software solutions.
• Internally manage software application development by adapting and aligning to Micron internal standards and guidelines.

•  Work with internal teams and suppliers to develop and implement improvements that reduce cost and/or improve quality and/or reliability.

Support And Perform EHSS Responsibilities

• Identify and promptly report any conditions or behaviors that are contrary to EHS policies or procedures.
• Follow Micron safety procedures and area work rules (including use of proper PPE, energy isolation, and chemical safety).
• Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturer and company guidelines.
• Use proper lifting techniques and work in an ergonomically correct manner.
• Cooperate with all audits.
