We're looking for a Product Development Engineer to join our team!
Job Responsibilities:
- Work on new development of new products and revisions to existing product line through all phases of product lifecycle, including concept, design, development, testing, launch, and post-launch.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and product management stakeholders to assess feasibility of product designs.
- Work with project managers to help define product roadmap and project timelines.
- Develop and test product prototypes in conjunction with the internal product team and external hardware design partners.
- Aid supply chain team in managing BOM cost and complexity; identify components and suppliers to help achieve cost and quality targets.
- Collaborate with quality management team to identify and mitigate issues affecting products in the field.
- Manage engineering changes initiated by external vendors; document and issue CAPA reports where applicable.
- Assess and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- BS or better in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Five years of experience in a product development role, preferably in a consumer products industry.
- Familiarity with all PDLC stages.
- Experience with project management methodologies, including Agile.
- Familiarity with process and quality management methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, and similar is a plus.
- Experience working with IoT devices is a plus.
- Experience with packaging and distribution of liquid products is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and accommodate rapid change.
