- Development of railway air springs according to customer specifications and company rules.
- Execution of development projects from feasibility assessment to introduction into series production.
- Responsibility for the samples and test orders
- Development of test concepts according to customer/market/quality requirements (creation of design verification plans, initiation and tracking of tests, evaluation of test results.)
- Preparation and consolidation of specific product documentation (drawings, product specifications, bill of materials, test reports, etc.).
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Technical communication with customers after alignment with AE and suppliers.
- Support of product industrialization in product/process changes and product-specific issues.
- Support analysis of competitor products (benchmark).
- Initiation and follow-up of patent analyses and own ideas for patent applications.
- Continuous improvement of processes for product development at all relevant locations.
- Participation in project gate reviews and design reviews.
- Direct reporting to the relevant department leader.
- Risk mitigation through D-FMEA and P-FMEA.
- Close cooperation with the central departments of BA functions and location, such as quality, application engineering, platform development, manufacturing, industrial engineering, and product/process industrialization of related plants.
- Act as a team player and contribute to team activities by achieving related results as needed and on time.
- Support the processing of customer claims.
- Business trips in case of request
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering (Master's degree), rubber technology or similar field.
- 3 years of professional experience and experience in technical customer support.
- Basic material and production knowledge in the rubber sector and IRIS requirements.
- Good knowledge of project management and quality processes (APQP, PPAP, FMEA,…).
- Good knowledge of MS office, SAP and CAD (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA, or similar).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), German desirable.
- Independent way of working, ability to prioritize and master complex tasks.
- Entrepreneurial thinking: customer focus, result orientation, negotiation skills and decisiveness.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
