Job Summary

True Timber Outdoors Holding Co, LLC,  is currently seeking a self-motivated, highly organized Product Development Assistant to join our team at our Inman, SC office. As the Product Development Assistant, you will work with the product development and merchant teams on product approvals and production WIP to ensure a seamless development and production process. This role will focus on apparel and accessories for multiple accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage/own specific programs for the entire pre-production life cycle
  • Liaison between Customer and Factory for programs they own
  • Maintain various spreadsheets, strictly adhering to pre-established formats
  • Scan, copy, document, and enter submits into Customer PLM system
  • Review factory submits and samples against tech packs/previous submits to ensure they meet standard before they are submitted to Customer
  • Keep record of the status of all submits, and proactively request next relevant submits/samples
  • Maintain keep sample of all submits sent to Customer
  • Proactively coordinate requests and receipt of all pre-production, photo, and TOP samples
  • Attend meetings to advise Management of current statuses and any issues

Additional Duties:

  • Keep all current season’s samples displayed and organized. Box up when season is complete.
  • Send costing tech packs to factories, track dates pricing is received
  • Assist with any special projects as required
  • Maintain responsibility for incoming/outgoing daily mail – receive, open, and distribute mail to PD team. Send outgoing domestic and overseas packages daily. Track incoming packages.
  • Maintain tracking sheet/binder of fabrics used and numbers assigned to each

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to work on multiple projects within pre-set deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Eager to learn, grow, and be mentored in the apparel industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High regard to following established procedures
  • Proactive follow-up skills
  • Ability to work both independently, and in a cooperative team setting
  • Takes direction well, learns quickly, follows guidelines for existing protocols
  • Quick response time to emails
