Our platform helps fraud, Trust & Safety, and Risk & Compliance teams reduce time spent on repetitive manual reviews and investigations, so they can focus on higher-value decisions. We are rapidly growing and already serve some of the largest and fastest-growing social media, online marketplace, and financial services platforms.

We’re looking for a Product Designer to define how operators, investigators, and enterprise teams experience Variance. You will own core product design across complex workflows, translating highly technical AI capabilities into clear, intuitive, and trustworthy user experiences. You will work closely with founders, product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to design products that help customers make faster, better, and more confident decisions in high-stakes risk environments.

  • Exceptional ability to simplify complex technical workflows into intuitive, elegant product experiences

  • Experience owning product design end-to-end, from user research and problem definition through wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and shipped product

  • Strong systems thinking and comfort designing for complex information architecture, workflows, permissions, data, and decision-making interfaces

  • Ability to work cross-functionally across product, engineering, design, sales, and leadership with high ownership

  • Excellent visual, interaction, and written communication skills

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping build design practices from 0 to 1

  • Familiarity with AI/ML, fraud, compliance, risk, Trust & Safety, case management, investigations, or enterprise operations preferred, but not necessary
