The Role

Product Designer 

Location: This position is based in New York City, and in-office attendance is required Monday-Thursday with the ability to be remote on Friday.  

Who we are looking for:  

  • 3+ years of Product Designer experience within the B2B software space
  • Strong systems thinking ability, focusing on consistency and scalability in design rather than just individual screens
  • Proficient in Figma, wither experience adapting to the fast-paced dynamics of a startup environment
  • Ability to navigate between detailed UI design and broader brand and visual design initiatives
  • Collaborating effectively, you have strong opinions on good design while remaining open to feedback  
  • Bonus points for experience in fintech, tax or other regulated industries
  • Bonus points for familiarity with design tokens and developer handoff workflows
  • Bonus points for building a design system from scratch  

What you’ll be doing:  

  • Designing and iterating on our web application closely collaborating with Engineers to deliver features that simplify complex tax workflows 
  • Partnering with the Customer Success team to identify user pain points and translating those insights into actionable product improvements
  • Building and maintaining a cohesive design system that is applied across our product, marketing site, sales materials, and event presence
  • Contributing to product strategy by not only defining how the product looks but also influencing how the product should be developed next
