— Graham Beale, Director of Design & Research

What You’ll Do:

  • Design Engaging Product Experiences: Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that make complex tasks simple and intuitive.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with product managers, engineers, and other designers to understand requirements, share ideas, and deliver solutions.
  • Support Research & Validation: Participate in user research and testing to inform and validate your design decisions.
  • Communicate & Document: Clearly explain your design thinking and document your work using collaboration tools.
  • Contribute to Team Goals: Work under moderate supervision to set objectives for your own work, supporting the team’s operational targets and contributing to departmental results.
  • Adapt & Improve: Identify and address changes within your area, helping the team respond to evolving needs and priorities.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Practical knowledge of product design principles and processes, ideally gained in a technical or regulated environment.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Ability to self-organize, manage time effectively, and take ownership of your workflow to consistently meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Strong communication skills—able to explain your ideas to colleagues inside and outside your immediate team.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An interest in user research and a passion for designing accessible, user-friendly products.
  • Ability to adapt to change and contribute to operational improvements.

What We Bring:

  • A purpose-driven culture where your work helps protect millions of people and organizations.
  • A supportive, collaborative team that values creativity, learning, and growth.
  • Competitive compensation as part of a broader total rewards package, including health, wellness, and flexible hybrid working.
  • Opportunities to develop your skills, learn from experienced colleagues, and explore new career paths within Mimecast.

Career Growth Opportunities

As a Product Designer at Mimecast, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Build your expertise in cybersecurity and user-centered design.
  • Take on increasing responsibility and grow into more senior or specialist roles.
  • Influence the future of our products and make a real impact for our customers.

Manager’s Working Style & Team Purpose

You’ll join a team that values open communication, practical problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Your day-to-day work will involve collaborating with colleagues in London and beyond, contributing your ideas, and helping us deliver great experiences for our users.

The UK base salary range for this position is £48,000-£72,000 base + benefits. This reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. This position may also be eligible for bonus, incentive plans, and other related benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. These factors and individual capabilities will also determine the individual pay offered.

DEI Statement

Cybersecurity is a community effort. That’s why we’re committed to building an inclusive, diverse community that celebrates and welcomes everyone – unless they’re a cybercriminal, of course.

We’re proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer, and we’d encourage you to join us whatever your background. We particularly welcome applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups.

We consider everyone equally: your race, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, marital status, nationality, or any other protected characteristic won’t affect your application.

Due to certain obligations to our customers, an offer of employment will be subject to your successful completion of applicable background checks, conducted in accordance with local law.
