About the Team
This role is a part of the Product, Engineering, and Design team: where our goal is to build great software that enhances and powers the student journey from first impression, all the way to graduation. This team is composed of builders , doers, and people with the genuine desire to change how higher education works.
About the Role
Imagine yourself designing what an education experience should look and feel like with exceptional software. That’s exactly what we’re doing at Campus - we’re looking for a product designer who’s motivated by the opportunity to re-imagine education software in a way that feels intuitive, delightful, and engaging. We’re an incredibly user-centric team, with no shortage of compelling problems to solve for students - a role for someone who’s innately curious, has great design taste, and is committed to their craft as a designer. As a Product Designer at Campus, you’ll champion users’ needs, move smart and fast, and focus on creating solutions that make experiences better for our customers every day.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Collaborate on design and user experience for significant parts of our core product and feature set; contribute on design flows from ideation to launch
- Create end-to-end design flows for new products, from whiteboard to hi-fidelity design
- Work directly with Product, Designers, and Engineering to craft solutions for the right problems to solve
- Comfortable collaborating with a variety of stakeholder teams to understand core points of friction in their workflows
- Consistently be able to break down and moving from an ambiguous problem into a viable solution across a variety of projects and workstreams
- Get specific about the details, strive for simplicity, and become opinionated about solutions that work for our customers
- Intentionally evolve our design system, UI patterns, and style guides as we scale.
- Maintain design system and UI consistency.
- Be obsessed with continuous improvement and ways to make our core product experiences better and more user-friendly
We’re excited about you because…
- 4-5 years of Product Design experience at a startup, tech or digital product agency, or equivalent
- A strong understanding of design principles and workflows, and experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design
- Experience working with developers and PMs
- Extraordinary visual design skills and strong understanding of UX principles
- Background in visual/interaction design, UX/UI, branding & identity, and typography
- Experience with low and high-fidelity prototyping
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally you also have:
- Low ego, high EQ, curiosity, kindness, and dedicated to your craft
- Experience working in a high growth startup environment
What you’ll get:
A compensation package that includes a base salary $95,000-$125,000 + equity grant
- Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location.
