Make is the leading visual platform for anyone to design, build, and automate anything—from tasks and workflows to apps and systems—without the need for coding skills. We are headquartered in the flourishing tech hub of Prague, Czech Republic, and our teams are spread across the USA, UK, Germany, France, Canada, India and Chile, among other locations.
We believe that design has a big impact on business and we are looking for a Product Designer to join our team. You will work on one of the fundamental experiences of using Make, which is all about how the thousands of different apps and services connect together. Your design work will impact every single Make customer because these connected experiences are the fundamental building blocks of using the product.
You’ll work to deeply understand the needs of our customers, and define the best experience for how they use Make. Customers range from technically savvy builders, to those who are just getting started with automation–and it will require an empathetic and thoughtful designer to think about how to design for the right level of simplicity without stopping people from adding complexity where they need it. You’ll collaborate with a team of highly talented product managers, designers, and engineers who appreciate user experience and want to build the best products in the market.
The Apps experience design role is a good fit for someone who is highly organized and can think well in patterns. We’re looking for someone who is fascinated by understanding how people think and different contexts of use, and then wants to be hands-on and build out the design guidelines and approach that will work for over 2000+ apps, working closely with the teams. Make is a visually focused tool and we prefer candidates who care about UI and the details of every pixel.
What we are looking for:
- A designer who believes that working in diverse teams and with complex systems brings out even more creativity
- Ability to learn quickly on the job–learning about design at all stages, from early discovery to final hand-off (e.g. wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, UI assets)
- Passionate about problem solving and understanding complex systems
- Understanding of the importance of user research and data
- Basic understanding of HTML & CSS and like to work proactively with developers
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to give & receive constructive feedback in design reviews
- Portfolio of prior UX/UI work, with examples including specific contributions in the design directions and decisions
- Written and verbal fluency in English
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with the apps development teams to improve the overall design and usability of our most important integrations
- Develop patterns, guidelines, and best practices for how developers can build apps in the best way possible given the constraints
- Deliver detailed UI screens in Figma, and collaborate with PM and Engineering to align on requirements and execution
- Contribute to Make’s design system and language through contributing components and improvement ideas based on what’s needed for the apps
What we offer:
- 📈 RSUs grant in a rapidly growing company raising its value every day
- 💸 Annual bonus
- 🌎 Multinational team with 42 nationalities creating the future of automation
