UI/UX Designer

Role

AI predictions, no matter how accurate, are useless unless acted upon. As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for converting decisions into user action. This includes driving our design strategy, scaling our design system, leading prototyping efforts, and conducting user research both for  existing and for new products. In addition to hospital users, you'll collaborate internally with our Engineering, Clinical Operations, Sales, and Product team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead design strategy to align with SmarterDx's mission, creating compelling and user-centric solutions.
• Use Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-fidelity prototypes, refining them based on user feedback and stakeholder input.
• Conduct user research to inform design decisions and iterate on product solutions.
• Set design requirements based on information from internal teams and user research.
• Identify new product improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, clinical experts, and other stakeholders to bring designs from concept to implementation.
• Fully own design decisions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of proven experience as a Product Designer and/or UI/UX Designer working specifically on B2B software, with a strong portfolio showcasing impactful design solutions.
• Expertise in UX/UI design principles and proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with healthcare is a huge plus!
• Experience working in an early-stage startup environment.
• Skillful at designing for a non-technical audience.
• Process-oriented.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and feedback effectively.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a history of thriving in startup environments.
• Passion for improving the healthcare system.

Compensation

• $150 to $200K base salary + equity
