Where the team fits in

The New Homes & Audience Solutions team helps customers and commercial partners get more value from REA’s audience, editorial content and advertising products. The team works across media on portal and editorial experiences to improve ads performance, customer outcomes and consistency across the product experience.


What the role is all about

As a Product Designer, you will partner with product, commercial, engineering, data, editorial and content teams across REA to improve media products, support new advertising experiences and bring greater consistency to editorial categories, articles and design-system patterns.


  • Lead discovery and design across editorial content and media on portal, from problem definition and exploration through to delivery and continuous improvement
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, commercial stakeholders, data specialists, editorial teams and content teams to understand opportunities and bring ideas to life
  • Contribute to the discovery, launch and iteration of advertising products and formats, using customer feedback and performance data to guide decisions
  • Design clearer, more consistent experiences for editorial categories and articles, including components, hierarchies and design-system patterns
  • Create journeys, interaction models, prototypes and other design artefacts that build shared understanding and align teams around a direction
  • Participate in design critiques and help promote user-centred practices across cross-functional teams

Who we’re looking for

You are someone who enjoys working in agile, fast-paced environments and moving between strategic thinking, discovery and hands-on design delivery. You’re comfortable with ambiguity, care about design quality and can connect customer needs to business outcomes.


  • Experience designing digital products and experiences across discovery, delivery and iteration
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach, with strong stakeholder partnerships and a generous attitude to sharing knowledge and receiving feedback
  • Experience using research, customer insight and data to understand needs, test ideas and evaluate product performance
  • An understanding of design systems, interaction design and systems thinking, with an eye for creating simple, effective and consistent experiences
  • An interest in media, advertising, editorial products or agency environments. Knowledge of how Meta and Google ads are created and managed would be a real bonus
