Ensures company objectives are achieved in the areas of aesthetics, functionality, performance, application, sustainability, and profitability while driving design excellence throughout the product development process.

Participate as the design representative in the product development process, leading the design effort from concept through product introduction.
Establish and manage design schedules and budgets for assigned projects while balancing business and customer requirements.
Create sketches, renderings, reports, models, and presentations to effectively communicate concepts to development teams and leadership.
Recommend materials, colors, and surface finishes that complement the overall product portfolio and market requirements.
Collaborate with Product Marketing and cross-functional teams to conduct research and identify customer needs and preferences.
Monitor and participate in the development of visual and functional models to evaluate and improve product concepts.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, consultants, and external design partners to deliver effective design solutions.
Conduct human factors and usability assessments to support customer-centered product design.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or equivalent.
Five years of experience in product design and two years of experience in product development.
Demonstrated working knowledge of various software, including Computer Aided Design (CAD), image manipulation, graphics, and desktop publishing.
PC and keyboard/mouse skills required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/floor plans required.
Experience in the contract furniture industry is preferred but not essential.
Open to travel internationally as required for customer visits, research activities, training programs, collaboration meetings, and industry events. Approximately 15% travel may be required.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or equivalent field
- Minimum seven years of product design experience, including at least three years in product development
- Proficiency in design tools such as Computer Aided Design, image editing, graphics, and desktop publishing software
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and floor plans
- Demonstrated technical expertise in industrial design and product development processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 15% of the time
