The Product Designer will work closely with the Engineering Team to turn complex system concepts into product designs. The holder of this position will take responsibility for a range of activities, including both the design of innovative new systems and the ongoing update of existing product lines.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
Design of complex systems and devices using E3D Paragon-Admin, Autodesk Inventor and Navis CAD software
Work closely with other key areas of the business to understand the design requirements and develop effective design solutions
Follow engineering processes to ensure quality is designed into all products and identifying process improvements that may be driven through the business
Produce, control and maintain all required design documentation
Participate in design review meetings
Hand-over product designs to the Operations Team to enable successful New Product Introduction
Proviside of design advice and support to the build and commissioning teams during product build and test
Qualification & Skills:
Relevant higher education qualification in mechanical or production engineering
Proficient use of a recognised CAD design package
Proven relevant experience 4-6 years
Creative problem solver with good team-work attitude
