Role Description

Dropbox Sign is a leading provider of eSignature solutions for both developers and end users. Sign joined Dropbox by acquisition in 2019, and the business has grown substantially since then. Despite this, the team remains lean and agile, and each member has a wide scope for ownership and impact. There are no silos on the Dropbox Sign team. Each member understands the business end-to-end and is encouraged to proactively identify and share problems and opportunities to continue to improve our product. As a Product Designer on the Dropbox Sign team, you’ll own the product design for Sign and Sign API, and play a key role in enabling us to deliver on our customer commitments and business goals. We are consistently adding new features to our products to solve more problems for more customers. Your contribution will ensure that these features have high quality visual design, and are intuitive and easy to use for our customers. 

Responsibilities

  • Impact. Deliver high-quality work that adds the most value for customers and our business.
  • Customer focus. Understand the needs of Dropbox Sign customers and validate that proposed solutions solve their problems.
  • UX problem solving. Demonstrate a coherent solution that integrates multiple features, users, or workflows.
  • Visual design. Consistently practices good use of visual design skills. 
  • Communication. Effectively use verbal, written, and visual communications to create understanding, influence others, and enable effective decision-making. 
  • Solution generation. Use a framework for exploration and scope the breadth of your exploration to potential impact.
  • Product strategy. Create a compelling and easily understood vision for a complex feature or product area that inspires the team to take action.
  • Decision-making. Identify and gather input from the right stakeholders and consider customer needs to make informed and timely decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of UX-related work experience
  • High craft bar and attention to detail in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping
  • Fluency with common prototyping tools to demonstrate complex features and flows in web experiences
  • Innate customer obsession and proactive identification of opportunities for improved customer experience
  • Fluency with describing impact in quantitative/business metrics as well as qualitative methods
  • Experience across the product development lifecycle from discovery through shipping and iteration
  • Demonstrated skills for collaborating closely with product managers, engineers and customers in order to achieve better design outcomes
  • Familiarity with designing for B2B SaaS products 
  • Ownership mindset with a bias towards action, helping to drive teams and projects forward.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience designing for a developer-focused API product
  • Familiarity working within a design system as well as contributing to it

Compensation

Dropbox applies increased tax deductible costs (50%) to remuneration earned by certain qualifying employees (to the extent an employee will be involved in the creation of the software as an “author”) for the transfer of copyrights, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Income Tax Act.
