We're looking for a Product Designer who thrives at the intersection of design, strategy, and AI collaboration. This isn't a traditional designer role: it's about problem framing, system thinking, and using AI as your creative partner to build exceptional product experiences.

At Craft, we recently paused all regular work for a month-long AI enablement initiative across the entire company. We're not just adding AI tools to our workflow: we're fundamentally reimagining how we work. What You'll Do

Strategic Design & Problem Framing

• Define the right problems to solve, not just create solutions. With AI capable of generating infinite design options, your role is to frame the problems worth solving and guide the direction.

• Think in systems, considering how features work together holistically rather than in isolation

• Connect user needs with business objectives, serving as the bridge between what users need and what the business requires

• Make judgment calls under acceleration—knowing when to trust AI output and when to dig deeper

AI-Augmented Execution

• Collaborate with AI tools (Claude Code, Craft Agents, and other emerging tools) to rapidly prototype, iterate, and validate concepts

• Validate and refine AI-generated outputs, applying your judgment to ensure quality and appropriateness

• Move fast from concept to testable prototype, using AI to handle the repetitive execution while you focus on the creative and strategic decisions

• Judgment over execution speed: You know when something needs refinement and when it's good enough to ship

• Comfortable with uncertainty: The rules are being rewritten in real-time, and you're energized (not paralyzed) by that

Skills & Experience

• Strong foundation in product design fundamentals: user research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping

• Demonstrated ability to work with AI tools: This is a must. We expect you to show personal projects created with or assisted by AI during the application process

• System thinking mindset: You naturally consider edge cases, various user states, and how components work together

• Communication skills: You can articulate design decisions, give and receive feedback constructively, and work transparently
