The Opportunity
Ballard Designs is looking for a creative Product Design Intern - Summer to join our Product Design team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the furniture design industry, working with experienced designers and contributing to the development of exciting products.
You will be a passionate design student or graduate with a interest in furniture, interior design, and home furnishings.
You will be located in Atlanta, GA

You will report to the VP Merchandising
Your Impact
Assist product designers in the development of new furniture, home textile, and home accessories designs.
Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify latest styles and customer preferences.
Create sketches, renderings, and presentations to communicate design ideas.
Manage design libraries and samples.
Provide general administrative support to the design team.
What You Bring
Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
A portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity is required.
Proficiency in sketching, rendering, and visual communication.
Familiarity with 3D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, and SolidWorks).
Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with furniture design, interior design, and home furnishings.
Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
