Note: This position will design products for SHUKLA Medical, a medical device division of S.S.
White Technologies. Website, Facebook, YouTube. You could be part of a team of 5 innovative
engineers who last year alone, filed for 16 patents.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop new and innovative tools for extraction of broken or worn out orthopedic
- implants
- Prepare detailed drawings of the instruments, implants, and prototypes
- Review test protocols and procedures, and conduct failure analysis
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate product development engineering
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Keen understanding of the workings and designing of standard hand tools/power tools
- Hands-on, detail-oriented and mechanically inclined a must
- Desire and willingness to be CREATIVE
- Utilize inquisitive and/or outside-the-box thinking
- Good computer skills in engineering software such as SolidWorks
- Minimum educational level: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in the orthopedic industry is not required, but a strong desire to learn about
- thopedics is a must
- Background in machining and material selection a plus
