Aptiv Connection Systems, Chennai Engineering Center in Chennai, India established in 2001 catering complete product development solutions right from concept design till validation testing to global OEMs. Located in Chennai city, the southern part of India which is known as automotive hub of India.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE ACCOMPLISHED:

• Responsible for product design and development using NX software.

• Responsible for project planning and executions.

• To ensure the project quality as per the standards

• To meet the delivery deadlines.

EDUCATION (Qualifications obtained in the course of formal education and/or training) -

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering stream.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in the Connector / Automotive / Complex plastic / sheet metal Product Design and Development.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

·Good knowledge in product concept development / end to end product development

• Good skills in product design using NX software.

• Good skills in detailed plastic component design and design calculations, tolerance stack up

• Good skills in detailed Sheetmetal component design and design calculations, tolerance stack up

• Good knowledge in materials and material selection (plastics and sheet metal)

• Good knowledge in DFM & DFA

• Understanding of DRBFM and DFMEA

• Judgement skills to evaluate concepts and design verification results

• Good knowledge in GD&T and creation of production drawings

• Good knowledge in stamping and injection moulding processes.
